What’s your design/craft story? ie. How’d you get started? I’ve been crafting all my life, surrounded by inspiring women in my family who always had knitting needles or a sewing needle in hand. It’s rare to find something I haven’t tried. About 15 years ago I found the most beautiful scrapbook in a local childrens’ boutique and just had to have it to put photos of my kids in. It wasn’t too long till I was hooked on scrapbooking and I still remember my first time die cutting in a scrapbook store. I loved it! Not too long afterwards, child #4 arrived and then child #5. Scrapbooking took a back burner as card designing fit better into my busy life. In 2007 I started submitting to publications and you can find my work in many different magazine issues. Today, I love scrapbooking, cardmaking and altered projects and I’m excited to have had so many wonderful opportunities in the industry. I’m thrilled to be joining the Spellbinders team!
What/who inspires you? Why? I find inspiration in so many places. Pinterest is always a fun place to go for inspiration but I’ve always really enjoyed finding inspiration in magazines and store product displays and designs. I love it that good design is larger than just one medium and creativity inspires more creativity.
Define your design style in 1 word. Freestyle.
In the last 12 months what has been your favorite memory or proudest accomplishment? The last 12 months for me have been a bit of a struggle. After a vehicle accident and a health diagnosis, my proudest accomplishments have been finishing physio therapy and working to get my health back on track. Now that I’m coming through the other side of this, I’m excited to have more time for creativity again.
What is your blog address? Where else can we find you on online? (ie. social media)
